Tracking Transactions

Real-Time Tracking

Every swap you make through Swaptain is tracked in real-time. You'll receive automatic Telegram notifications as your swap progresses — no need to check manually.

Swap Stages

Submitted

Your swap transaction has been signed and broadcast to the source blockchain. Waiting for the network to include it in a block.

Inbound Confirmed

Your transaction has been confirmed on the source chain. THORChain's validators have observed the inbound transaction.

Swap Executing

THORChain is processing your swap through its liquidity pools. For streaming swaps, this may happen across multiple blocks for better pricing.

Outbound Sent

THORChain has sent the destination tokens from its vault. Waiting for confirmation on the destination chain.

Complete

Swap finished. Your tokens have been delivered to your Swaptain wallet on the destination chain.

Multi-Leg Swap Tracking

Some swaps require multiple steps (legs). For example, swapping a BEP-20 token for an ERC-20 token might route through an intermediate native asset. Swaptain tracks each leg individually:

  • Leg 1: Source token → intermediate asset (source chain)
  • Leg 2: Cross-chain swap (source chain → destination chain)
  • Leg 3: Intermediate asset → destination token (destination chain)

You'll see progress updates for each leg in your notifications.

Notifications

Swaptain sends notifications at key points:

| Event | Sound | Toggleable | |-------|-------|-----------| | Swap in progress | Silent | Yes | | Swap completed | Normal | Yes | | Swap failed | Normal | No (always on) | | Deposit received | Normal | Yes | | Withdrawal sent | Normal | Yes |

Customise notifications in Settings.

Transaction History

Access your full transaction history from the main menu:

  • All transactions — swaps, deposits, and withdrawals
  • Filter by type — view only swaps, only deposits, or only withdrawals
  • Transaction details — tap any transaction to see full details including amounts, fees, timestamps, and status

Token Charts

From the main menu, access Token Charts to:

  • Search for any token and view its TradingView chart
  • My Trades — see your trade history for a specific token
  • My Position — view your average entry price, total holdings, and unrealised P&L

The Token Charts feature is useful for monitoring tokens you've traded. The position tracking automatically calculates your average entry price across all your buys.

Troubleshooting Delays

If your swap seems stuck at a particular stage:

| Stage | Expected Duration | If Delayed | |-------|------------------|-----------| | Submitted | Seconds to a few minutes | Network congestion — wait for inclusion | | Inbound Confirmed | Varies by chain (BTC: ~10 min, ETH: ~12 sec) | Normal — block confirmation times vary | | Swap Executing | Seconds (single) to minutes (streaming) | THORChain congestion — wait | | Outbound Sent | Varies by destination chain | Normal confirmation delay |

If a swap appears stuck for an unusually long time, see Troubleshooting.

Bitcoin transactions typically take the longest due to ~10-minute block times and the requirement for multiple confirmations. This is normal behaviour for the Bitcoin network.
